"Hi. I'm Jim Thomas. Welcome to a virtual tour of my Bed and Breakfast! On your stay at my home, we can talk about canoeing, fishing, American coins, antique furniture, American Art Pottery, American Brilliant Period cut glass, Carnival glass, and Southwest Indian jewelry, baskets, and pottery. I also like to sit around the piano in the evening and sing. I'll bet you have some interests you like to talk about, too. I'm a very good listener. I really like my house, and I also think you will. Here are some things about it you might like to know:
The Brundred-Thomas house was built in 1883 by Benjamin F. Brundred, one of the pioneer oil
millionaires in the area. The house remained in the Brundred family until
it was sold in 1959. That owner sold the house in October 2002.
I began Restoration in February 2003.
Some of the distinguishing architectural features one might notice are the several pediments with
sunburst designs within them, an original ice delivery door, unusual porch rail design, large leaded/beveled glass
windows, two wonderful stained glass windows, corbels, pilasters, leaded glass fanlight design over the porch entrance
door – which is repeated in wood within the front porch over-pediment, and many other unusual house exterior elements.
The house contains eleven bedrooms, some of which are listed below. Designations given to the bedrooms are from names of the great-great grandchildren of the original owner.
Seventeen of the rooms in the house have thus far been restored. Many other features such as gas/electric conversion sconces and wall speaker tubes to call the servants can be found in this 1883 house."
All the bedrooms and suites in this home will offer you a sense of privacy and security.
