Crisis Intervention & First Response

Crisis Intervention is an effort to reduce the severity of a crisis by providing assistance that will help victims regain some sense of control in their lives and help them understand their reactions.

Counselors assist victims in crisis to identify immediate needs and concerns, including safety, legal, and medical issues.

First Response

Now activated when calling 911 is a team of first responders. This team accompanies the police and responds to the needs of the victims. The first response team is only dispatched by the police agencies and is designed to provide initial crisis intervention services to victims at the scene.
