Support the Library

As we strive to offer the latest in technology and resources, we must consider the cost to the library. These services are free to the public but not to the library. As you plan for the future, whether in your annual giving or estate planning, please remember the Summerville Public Library.  No amount is too small!

The Summerville Public Library is a nonprofit organization, and we are funded by a variety of sources, including municipal allocations (money from the budget of the municipalities that we serve), state aid (money set aside for public libraries in the Pennsylvania state budget), local sponsors, and from you, our patrons.

State funding to libraries has been cut, as you are most likely well aware, and several other sources of income have diminished.  We have not met our annual fund drive.

It is never too late (or too soon!) to contribute to the Annual Fund Drive.  Your donation is fully tax deductible.

Ways to Support the Library

  • Remember us in your estate planning.
  • Send a check to Summerville Public Library, 114 Second Ave., Summerville, PA 15864.
  • Make a one time donation by clicking here, or by clicking the Donate Now button on the left, and using a credit card.  We work with an organization called JustGive.org to receive credit card payments.  JustGive.org is a nonprofit whose mission is “to increase charitable giving by connecting people with the charities and causes they care most about.”  They take care of securely processing a credit card payment for us, and we receive $0.97 of every $1.00 you donate.
  • Set up recurring, monthly donations through JustGive.org.
  • Donate your time once a week for five hours and help us put away books and other materials.
  • Help set-up and staff the annual used book sales.
