-----Archival Stuff-----
This list is devoted to the exchange of information concerning the taxonomy, systematics, and ethology or natural history of robber flies (Diptera: Asilidae). It is primarily aimed a professional researchers, although anyone can join.
To join the list, enter your e-mail address in the box at the bottom of the page [I removed this box when the lsit moved], and then click the button to the right of the box.
In the event you have access to e-mail but not to the World Wide Web, you can still subscribe. Send an e-mail message to "[-----No Longer Applicable-----]". You will be sent a verification message when it is received.
This is a private list, that is, I pay money to keep it running. This means that there will be no advertisements from sponsors, and hopefully no spam. Once you are on the list and we have archives to view, you can access them at [-----No Longer Applicable-----]. You should also be able to view the names of other subscribers using that site. Presently I have the list set up so that only members can access the archives or membership. Once you have subscribed, you can send a message to the list using the address "[-----No Longer Applicable-----]". Should you ever wish to un-subscribe, you may do so through the ListBot site.
The default language of the list is English. I realize there are some asilid workers for whom this may be a problem. If you absolutely cannot express yourself in English, please try to write in German next. Some on the list speak German as thier first language, and many of the rest of us can translate German into English if we have to. If you don't know English or German, you can post in any language you wish. Only I cannot guarantee that anyone will be able to respond to you.
I hope this list will become a valuable resource for robber fly workers. If you have any questions that are not answered here or at the site given above, you can reach me at swb@key-net.net.
