Towncryer Lodge is not a 4 star hotel or motel but you will think that it is. It sets along side the Allegheny River  There is a wonderful waterfalls just a short hike, if your into hiking, just 2 miles away. The wild and scenic Allegheny river is right in front of the lodge, so you can canoe right in front of Lodge or go up river and canoe down past Indian God rock ,fish your way down the scenic route and relax. Get that fresh air just by hiking in the woods or biking down the old railroad beds. Do you like to hunt, well you came to the right place, there is fishing hunting biking atving canoeing hiking. Yes we have it all bring your boat and go fishing the bass are waiting for you to try your go at it. Did I
tell you that after you get all those things like biking hiking canoeing atving fishing hunting exploring over then its time to relax by the camp fire. That's right sit down and relax by your camp fire and get those marshmallows and hot dogs out , the camp fire is ready for the food you prepare. with HBO I might add. Now get ready for a night of sleep and relax. We set way back from the hustle and bustle of  BIG CITY life so you can relax and enjoy the fresh air and see the sights. The waterfalls is your stop the next day, hike on up the old rail road bed and see the water falls and explore the old Iron ore furnace that's right iron ore furnace. They used  to make cannon balls for the Civil war there back in the 1860`s, lots of history there at the falls and furnace. So if it is fishing , hiking , biking ,
